Berkeley Pier

'Berkeley Pier', painted with India ink, is a color field, modern minimalism painting by Victoria Kloch. Since 1937, only the first 3,000 feet (910 m) were maintained and open to the public until July 2015, when public access was closed due to safety concerns. This painting was inspired by the Berkeley Pier. We have passed it many times coming in from the bay. It now looms in dilapidation on the bay with a mysterious presence due to extensive filling of the bay and the creation of the Berkeley Marina. The Berkeley Pier constructed in 1926, in its hay-day extended 3.5 miles into San Francisco Bay from the end of University Avenue. It presently only extends only 2.5 miles (4.0 km).

My original painting is in a private collection and  now being offered without frame in archival giclee reproduction prints and Do-It-Yourself download prints.
